What is the difference between the open-source Cypress app and Cypress Cloud?
Cypress App is an open-source, downloadable application that runs your tests in a browser. It is free to use and is provided under the MIT License.
Cypress Cloud is a SaaS web app that pairs with our open-source app, making it easy to scale your test runs and debug failed tests. Transform how you test in CI, and push your code with confidence, every time.
What counts as a test result?
Cypress Cloud considers each run of individual it() functions as a test result. Only test results which are recorded to Cloud (with the --record flag) are counted. Local runs while in development are not counted. Skipped tests, or anything else that prevents a test from running will not be counted. Tests which retry are only counted as a single test result.
How is my monthly bill calculated on a Team or Business plan?
Additional test results are available on-demand and cost $6 per 1000 test results.
What happens if I use more than the included number of test results?
If you consistently find yourself exceeding your current test results, opting for an annual plan may offer a more cost-effective solution. Please reach out to sales@cypress.io for more information.
Do I need a credit card to create an account?
No, you do not need a credit card to create an account. When you create a Cypress Cloud account, any organization you create will be automatically placed on our Free plan with no commitment. You will add your payment details when you’re ready to upgrade to a paid plan.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards for standard plans. We accept ACH and wire payments for annual plans.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, you can change or cancel your plan anytime via Cypress Cloud or by emailing billing@cypress.io.
Can I pick and choose the features I want in my plan?
No, our Starter, Team, and Business plans are not customizable at the feature level.
What happens when I reach my user limit?
Once you reach your user limit, you won’t be able to add more users until the limit is increased or a user is removed. Users can be managed from the “Users” page in Cypress Cloud. You can increase your user limit by upgrading your plan anytime via Cypress Cloud or by emailing billing@cypress.io.
Are there any limits on free, open-source projects?
We ♥️ open source! The Cypress App is a free, open-source application. Cypress Cloud is free to use for non-commercial open-source, public projects. Read about our OSS plan.
